Starting your career

You will fit right in at Luther if you want to take responsibility from Day 1, if you want to pursue your professional development with a lot of personal commitment and proactive initiative, if what matters to you after a first-rate education is excellent continuing education, if you are open to advice and suggestions from experienced colleagues, and if you want to make our clients successful by working with a team of top consultants. The type of cases we handle requires that we expect a lot from our employees. In addition to outstanding grades, we require business-fluent English. A PhD or an LL.M. degree is also welcome. And your personality should, of course, be convincing!

Work

In everything we do, we hold the conviction that every problem has a precise solution. Our clients want clear answers, which is why we are dedicated to finding these answers. Who deals with what in a project is determined solely by competencies and not career level. Feedback from partners and colleagues provides the necessary orientation and support. We achieve our goals through open communication and cooperation with one another and with our clients. That’s why not everyone fits in at Luther. We want to attract young colleagues who are prepared to engage in our promise of performance, who wish to take an active, goal-oriented role in pursuing their professional career and who enrich and promote our law firm through their personality and work.

Career

As an associate, you will receive thorough professional training in close cooperation with a partner. We expect our senior associates to not only deal with matters more independently but also to be able to build up their own networks of clients and contacts. The interim step of counsel is not required to become a partner. As a partner, you are responsible for building the financial foundations of the firm. Acquiring clients and managing and further developing matters, guiding and educating staff, enhancing the firm’s reputation – these are the tasks that need to be performed alongside daily client work. We will accompany you through all of these career steps with our talent management system.
